A Hidden Gem

Tucked in the entrance way to Pleasure Island's Comedy Warehouse is this beloved relic from the past - the original Magic Journeys sign from Journey Into Imagination.

This nearby plaque recalls the original use of this building as part of Pleasure Island's history - noting that once the Walt Disney Company "took over" the building, it became a warehouse for all sorts of items, including pieces from "aging attractions."

Magic Journeys...
Magic Journeys....

Just an ordinary day,
all at once you're on your way,
to a place that cannot be,
no one knows what turns the key.

You have found a thousand eyes,
whirling images arise,
for a moment they are clear,
in a flash, they disappear.

Magic Journeys, mystic flights,
on the wings of unexpected sounds and sights.
Magic Journeys, are they real?
Do they mirror what we think or sense or feel?

Magic Jooourrrrneeeeeeyyyssssss.......

No question that the best thing about the Comedy Warehouse is all the great pieces of Walt Disney World history that cover the walls. I've only made one visit there and don't remember a whole lot about the performance because I was so wrapped up in checking out all the artifacts. The Comedy Warehouse is a must see for anyone interested in the history of WDW.

Have you ever considered a post with pictures of old WDW artifacts scattered around property?
